CSAE EXHIBITS

This online non-juried exhibition is a recurring program for all current CSAE members.

It serves to highlight spiritual and contemplative practices CSAE members invoke in their teaching and individual artistic endeavors.

Click on each exhibit to see artwork by CSAE members and learn about the artists.

This exhibit asked current members to reflect on the following questions:

  • What is your relationship to the spiritual in your own art practice?

  • Do you engage with contemplative practices in your art practice? If so, which ones? How do you incorporate those?

  • What contemplative themes do you explore or what themes emerge in your art pieces?

  • How does your art practice inform your teaching?

Reflective Reminder - CSAE defines spiritual as matters related to the spirit or soul. This includes investigating the mysteries of life and beyond, self-realization, consciousness, rituals, well-being and contemplative practices.

*This cycle is for artwork made within the past year (from January 2023 - October 2023)

Online Exhibit: CSAE Member's Studio Spaces
June 1 - September 1, 2021

The online non-juried exhibition space, initiated by CSAE Chair Sheri R. Klein, is envisioned as a space for CSAE members to share their art works and to get to know one another as artists. This exhibit theme explores the studio space. Members were invited to submit an image of their studios and to share about their studio and to address some or all of the following questions:

• What does your artistic studio space look like?
• What considerations do you consider important relative to your artistic studio space?
• How have you re-envisioned your studio in this past year?
• How is your studio a site of integration and wholeness?
• Do you see your studio space as a form of self-portraiture?
• How has social media assisted you in this past year to share your studio with others, and stay inspired?
